St. Bernard School is owned by St. Bernard Catholic Church Parish and continues a long tradition of Catholic education in St. Martin Parish. The school is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Education and the Diocese of Lafayette. The St. Bernard school community fosters academic excellence which allows students of every learning style to succeed. We strive to build an active faith community and are dedicated to the service of others. 

Our goal is to provide quality education in the traditions established by our founders, the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration (later known as Sisters of the Most Holy Sacrament). We strive "to teach as Jesus did." We aim to bring the Gospel to students in a Christ-centered environment which incorporates high academic standards and respectful discipline. St. Bernard School encourages its students to be active in extracurricular activities so that they may become devoted Catholic citizens who contribute to society.
